Death with Dignity
Death with Dignity is a national organization advocating for end-of-life options and policy reform. Their mission is to ensure individuals with terminal illnesses can make informed decisions about their end-of-life care, including the choice of death with dignity in accordance with their values. They promote legislation modeled after the Oregon Death with Dignity Act and aim to improve end-of-life care nationwide. The organization emphasizes dignity, autonomy, trust, and inclusivity in their work, supporting education, advocacy, and legislative efforts. They consist of two branches: the National Center (501(c)(3)) for public education and the Political Fund (501(c)(4)) for legislative action.
