At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
The concept of the Death Cafe is an amazing movement to help our community to learn and grow and just say the word 'Death'. Discovering the amazing mystery about death and asking more questions can only help us to live more fully. I firmly believe that until the fear of death is faced in ourselves, we can never learn to enjoy the moment in our lives that each breath gives us.
